Instead of using Ferric Chloride solution check this out  homemade solution

Tinnit TM will plate a copper clad board with a bright tin plate approximately .0004'' thick. Enhances solder-ability. Supplied as two packets of dry concentrate, just add water to make one pint of solution that will plate up to 600 sq. inches of copper. After being mixed, solution has approximately a 2 month life.

I recommend not mixing the the powders, one is a primer and the other is the tin. Scrub the board with water, then scrub with a little primer powder and then scrub in the tin separately. This will give a nice Tin finish that will last years. No shelf life to worry about.

Sally works perfect, I tried to mix Acetone with Alcohol but the results were poor.

What I use:

AutoTrax Dex allows fun to be part of PCB layout & design. This generates the Gerber Files to use in ViewMate.

ViewMate Deluxe got me from Gerber File to PDF toner transfer. (I need to explain how to get a PDF, try freeware first, it might work)

Post your experience in my Chat Forum maybe others can eventually help one another.
